Dr. John Featherstone is Professor Emeritus and Dean Emeritus of the UCSF School of Dentistry. He has carried out cariology research for 45 years. He was a pioneer in research on laser interactions with hard tissues. He spearheaded the development of CAMBRA® (caries management by risk assessment). He has published over 300 papers and book chapters.
