Dr. P. Angela “Angie” Rake is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and has practiced at Dakota Valley Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery since 2002. She serves as Adjunct Associate Professor in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Minnesota and is Director of Oral Surgery at Regions Hospital’s AEGD program.

Dr. Rake is a recognized leader in her specialty at both the state and national levels. She is a past president of the Minnesota Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a three-time elected President of the Minnesota Board of Dentistry. She currently serves on the Clinical Governance Board of U.S. Oral Surgery Management, on the OMSNIC Patient Safety and Risk Management Committee and Advisory Committee, and previously served as a contracted NIH-NIDAMED panelist. In addition, she serves on the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Examination Committee, contributing to the development and evaluation of national board certification standards for the specialty. She is an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, and the Minneapolis District Dental Society.

Dr. Rake completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Minnesota, where she received the School of Dentistry Distinguished Dental Alumni Award. She remains committed to advancing patient safety, ethical clinical care, and interdisciplinary collaboration across the dental and medical communities.
