There is no standardized pathway for preparing to be a clinic director—until now. The ADA Certified Clinic Director program provides a structured approach to developing essential leadership capabilities, ensuring clinic directors across all settings have the knowledge and skills to succeed. Participants of this program will have opportunities to engage with subject matter experts and have the unique opportunity to leverage the ADA’s unique resources for clinical excellenceand evidence-based dentistry.
This six-month certificate program balances live virtual instruction, in-person engagement, case-based learning, and self-study modules—ensuring a flexible yet rigorous learning experience.
The Certified Clinic Directors class features approximately 50 clinic directors from various practice settings within dentistry. When building each CCD class, we are looking for a strong cross-section of candidates representing a mix of diverse experiences from varying subsectors of dentistry. Our Selection Committee prioritizes candidates new to the Clinic Director role. To create a class with diverse perspectives, the candidate’s current role, organization, and experience are considered.
