
State Quitlines 101 Part 1 — Prevention Super Partners: Dental Care Teams & Quitlines
This is the first in a two-part series on State QuitLines and will inform oral health professionals on how to leverage their tobacco/vaping cessation services. The American Dental Association Council on Advocacy for Access and Prevention presents this course to provide information on state QuitLines as a referral resource for oral health professionals who want to help their patients quit tobacco.
Part 1, Prevention Super Partners: Dental Care Team & QuitLines, features the CEO and staff of the North American Quitline Consortium (NAQC), a nonprofit membership organization seeking to promote evidence based QuitLine services across diverse communities in North America. Learn about QuitLine fundamentals, including the services offered by state QuitLines, the process an individual goes through when enrolling in a QuitLine, and opportunities for oral health providers to refer to QuitLine. By collaborating with QuitLines, oral health professionals can prioritize prevention and promote health equity by helping patients improve their oral health and overall well-being.
