Steve Clark Ph.D.
Steven C. Clark, Ph.D., is a nationally recognized occupational standards developer who has worked with private- and public-sector agencies for more than 30 years. He has directed national projects for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), including the CDC’s National Sudden Infant Death Investigation Project and the NIJ’s National Death Scene Guidelines Project. He is the former chair of the NIJ Scientific Working Group subcommittee on death scene investigation and a former member of the National Forensic Science Commission.
Dr. Clark is the creator of the largest web-based medicolegal case management system, MDILog.com, and co-creator of the national missing and unidentified decedent reporting systems, NamUs.gov. He serves as research and development director for the National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME) and as an accreditation consultant to the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners (IACME). Dr. Clark has led the development of national board certifications for the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigation (ABMDI), the Board of Forensic Document Examiners (BFDE) and the American Board of Forensic Odontologists (ABFO).
