Sherie Tynes is the Continuing Education Manager for Practice Institute and has been a dedicated member of the dental profession since 1987. Throughout her accomplished career, she has served as an educator, administrator, presenter, and advocate for lifelong learning within the dental community.
As a tenured faculty member in both Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs, Sherie has educated and mentored countless dental professionals. Her teaching experience includes courses in Head and Neck Anatomy, Dental Anesthesia, Dental Radiology, Periodontics, Dental Materials, and Dental Anatomy. In addition, she served as lead clinical faculty for first- and second-year dental hygiene students, providing hands-on instruction, clinical supervision, and mentorship in patient care and clinical decision-making. Her passion for education and commitment to student success have made her a respected leader in dental academia.
Sherie earned an Associate Degree from Columbus State University in Georgia, a Bachelor of Science degree from the Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, and a Master of Science in Education from Saint Joseph's College of Maine.
In addition to her academic accomplishments, Sherie is an experienced continuing education presenter and coordinator who has developed and delivered educational programs for dental teams and healthcare professionals. She has also served as a textbook reviewer and contributor to various dental publications, helping to advance professional knowledge and evidence-based practice within the industry.
With nearly four decades of experience in dentistry, education, and continuing professional development, Sherie remains committed to empowering dental professionals through high-quality education, practical training, and lifelong learning opportunities.
