Dr. Ainsworth is a dental officer with the U.S. Public Health Service and currently practices general dentistry with the U.S. Coast Guard. She conducts forensic casework with the District Six (Florida) Medical Examiner’s Office and serves as the U.S. Air Force Consultant for Forensic Dentistry. Dr. Ainsworth is board‑certified by the American Board of Forensic Odontology and the American Board of General Dentistry. She earned a D.D.S. from The Ohio State University, a master's in oral biology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. She completed a fellowship in forensic odontology at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
