ADA Council on Ethics, Bylaws and Judicial Affairs
A recently retired general dentist after 35 years in practice, Dr. Pappas earned her dental degree at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1988. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and is currently serving as Treasurer of the Chicago Dental Society, the largest local component society with more than 4000 members. Dr. Pappas served on the ADA Council on Ethics, By-laws, and Judicial Affairs from 2019-2023 and is also a member of the Northwest Community Hospital Mobile Dental Clinic Advisory Committee. Her husband, Dr. Michael Durbin is an orthodontist practicing in Des Plaines, Illinois and was her dental school classmate. Her daughter, Dr. Kristen Durbin, is a pediatric and adolescent psychiatrist in Salt Lake City, Utah and her son, Dr. Peter Durbin, is also an orthodontist practicing in Des Plaines.
