Raymond G. Miller, DDS, is a general dentist and Clinical Associate Professor at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He serves as a forensic dental consultant to the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office in New York and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, where he currently represents odontology on the Academy’s Board of Directors.

Dr. Miller has authored numerous publications in forensic odontology, with a focus on victim identification, analysis of suspected dental pattern injuries and standards of care. He lectures nationally and internationally on these topics and serves on the ADA Standards Program Working Group as co‑chair of the Dental Identification by Comparative Dental Analysis Working Group.

He has deployed with the federal Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team (DMORT) to multiple mass fatality incidents, including the World Trade Center and Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Miller retired from the New York Air National Guard in 2018 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel after 29 years of service.
