Melanie Rouse

Melanie Rouse is the coroner of the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner in Las Vegas. She also serves as chair of the Clark County Opioid Task Force. Previously, she was chief medicolegal death investigator operations manager at the Maricopa County Medical Examiner in Phoenix. She is also a member of DMORT.

Over the years, she has taught a variety of courses, educating hundreds of medicolegal death investigation and law enforcement professionals on accident investigation, crime scene investigation, terrorism, mass fatality response and victimology. Melanie currently serves on the IACME Board of Directors, chairs the IACME Ethics Committee and the Nominations Committee, and is a member of the Advocacy Committee.
