Maria de Lurdes Pereira D.D.S., M.Sc., Ph.D.

Maria de Lurdes Pereira is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Porto (FMDUP), where she has served since 2009. She earned her degree in Dental Medicine from FMDUP in 1988, her Master's in Public Health from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto in 2001, and her PhD in Dental Medicine from FMDUP in 2009. She is a researcher at the Institute of Public Health, University of Porto (ISPUP), within the Epidemiology Research Unit. Her research interests include public and community oral health, oral health during pregnancy, and the social determinants of oral health. She is currently involved in European research projects including PRUDENT (Prioritization, Incentives and Resource Use for Sustainable Dentistry) and DELIVER (Deliberative Improvement of Oral Care Quality).
