Lori Hendrick Ph.Dc., M.S., R.D.H., C.D.A., C.D.T.

Lori is a key opinion leader who has been active in dentistry for over 30 years. Lori’s educational background expands from dental lab technology, dental assisting, and dental hygiene to include master graduate certificates in Global Health (ODU), Dental Public Health Leadership (UNC), and Substance Use and Mental Health Counseling (UF). She recently completed her PhD in Public Administration and Policy (ODU) where her focus was on Oral Health Policy and improving access to care in rural populations. She is a licensed hygienist in NC and VA. Lori is an educator and guest lecturer for dental and dental hygiene programs in NC. She owns and operates Athena Dental Solutions, LLC a dental lab and continuing education business.

Lori serves on the NC State Board of Dental Examiners, the Board of Directors of the NC Caring Dental Professionals and has served as President of the NC Dental Hygiene Association. Lori is actively involved with the NC Dental Society serving on the Workforce Committee to help expand and bring new dental hygiene programs to NC. In 2023, NCDS recognized her with the NCDS Special Recognition Award.
