Kevin Torske D.D.S.
Kevin R. Torske, D.D.S., is the Forensic Odontology Functional Area Manager with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency at Offutt AFB in Omaha, NE. He retired as a captain in the U.S. Navy in July 2023 after 30 years of service. His primary specialties are oral and maxillofacial pathology and forensic dentistry.
Dr. Torske received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1993 from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, graduating with high distinction. He completed his oral and maxillofacial pathology residency in 2000 at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School and earned a Master of Science degree from George Washington University. He then completed fellowship training in otorhinolaryngic and endocrine pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology.
Dr. Torske is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. During his Navy career, he served as a staff pathologist at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, D.C., and at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA; oral and maxillofacial pathology residency program director and department chair at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, MD; and forensic odontologist at the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command in Honolulu. He also served as the oral pathology and forensic dentistry mentor for many military dental and medical residency programs and as the U.S. Navy specialty leader for oral and maxillofacial pathology and forensic dentistry.
Nationally, Dr. Torske is a director and secretary-treasurer of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and an editorial board member for the Head and Neck Pathology journal. He has authored multiple textbook chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles, and he has presented at annual meetings of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and at many continuing education conferences.
He has been married to the former Holly J. Mosher since 1992.
