Designed for both new and experienced professionals, this hybrid program explains how forensic odontology, or forensic dentistry, functions within the broader forensic system and how it intersects with pathology, anthropology, imaging, technology, ethics and legal processes.

Through a combination of foundational lectures, applied workshops and real-world case perspectives, you will gain a clear understanding of how forensic dental evidence is collected, interpreted and communicated in context that carry significant professional, legal and human consequences. Context is presented in clear, accessible language while reinforcing scientific rigor, ethical responsibility and professional standards.

To receive CE credit, participants must first complete 16 one-hour on-demand modules, then attend the in-person sessions on July 19-21, 2026, in Las Vegas.

Learning Objectives

Describe how multiple forensic disciplines — including odontology, pathology, anthropology, DNA analysis, imaging, and pattern analysis — contribute to human identification and death investigation.
Explain the principles, methods, and limitations that guide the responsible collection, interpretation and communication of forensic evidence.
Recognize the ethical, legal, and professional standards that shape forensic practice, including documentation, reporting, testimony, and decision-making under uncertainty.
Apply foundational concepts from lectures and hands-on sessions to better understand real-world forensic workflows, preparedness, and the roles of specialists within routine operations and mass fatality incidents.
