Forensic Odontologist

James (Jimbo) Goodrich, DDS, is a forensic odontologist based in Cambridge, New Zealand, with more than 28 years of experience in human identification. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in forensic odontology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. Dr. Goodrich has participated extensively in disaster victim identification efforts, including the Canterbury earthquake, the Christchurch mosque shootings, the White Island volcano eruption, and the Mount Maunganui landslides. He has also supported identification efforts in the Pacific related to U.S. Marines lost during the Battle of Tarawa in World War II. His professional interests include the forensic evaluation of suspected dental pattern injuries and the ethical application of dental age estimation. He is the immediate past president of the New Zealand Society of Forensic Odontology.
