James Gill MD

Dr. Gill serves as Chief Medical Examiner of Connecticut and was the 2021 President of the National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME). He previously chaired the Forensic Pathology Committee of the College of American Pathologists.

Dr. Gill completed his pathology training at Yale University and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, followed by a forensic pathology fellowship at the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner. Before his appointment in Connecticut, he served as Deputy Chief Medical Examiner for Bronx County, New York City.

He has authored more than 100 scientific articles and book chapters addressing forensic pathology and public health.
