Emily Kahnert D.P.T., C.C.T.T.

Dr. Kahnert is a Physical Therapist in the Temporomandibular Disorders, Orofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine Clinic at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and adjunct faculty in the UMN Division of Physical Therapy. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Program in Physical Therapy in 2005, and her 20 years of clinical practice have been primarily focused on treating TMD and Orofacial pain in outpatient orthopedic interdisciplinary settings. She earned her Certified Cervical and Temporomandibular Therapist designation through the Physical Therapy Board of Craniofacial and Cervical Therapeutics in 2019 and is part of the TMD PT Clinical Practice Guideline development group. She completed her PhD at the University of Minnesota in August 2024 and her dissertation examined telerehabilitation effectiveness for individuals with TMD.
