Derek Draft DDS, DABFO

Dr. Derek Draft is a board-certified forensic odontologist with more than 27 years of clinical experience. He practices dentistry in both the United States and Canada and has been based in Quebec for over six years. Dr. Draft is a diplomate and past president of the American Board of Forensic Odontology and is actively involved in advancing scientific standards and education in forensic dentistry. His forensic work includes human identification, dental age estimation, and patterned injury analysis. He serves as a forensic odontologist for the Kalamazoo County Medical Examiner’s Office and collaborates with the Laboratoire de sciences judiciaires et de médecine légale in Montréal. In addition to casework and teaching, Dr. Draft develops digital tools for forensic odontologists and is the creator of the DAE QuickSheets reference system and its companion mobile application.
