Debora Heller D.D.S., M.Sc., Ph.D.

Dr. Debora Heller is a dentist-scientist, translational researcher, educator, and international speaker specializing in salivary diagnostics, prevention, and precision oral health. She serves as Adjunct Faculty at the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry and holds a PhD in Oral Biology from Boston University, as well as advanced degrees in periodontics and healthcare management.

Dr. Heller's work focuses on salivary biomarkers, risk assessment, and the integration of personalized and preventive approaches into dental practice. She is the Immediate Past President of the IADR Salivary Research Group, Vice President of the Clinical and Translational Science Network, and a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Dental Research. She has authored 44 peer-reviewed publications, co-authored two books, and contributed to the IADR Position and Policy Statement on Salivary Biology and Diagnostics. In 2026, she delivered the keynote address at the American Dental Association Salivary Diagnostics Summit.
